The artist views herself as a combination of the East and West; half American bald eagle and half Khaleeji (people of the Arabian Peninsula). These attributes are translated in her works by combining the eagle's golden beak with the forgotten batoola (a golden face mask that women used to wear in the Arab Gulf) signifying one speaking his own mind without any limits, exactly like a freely soaring eagle.
