Traditions are patterns of behaviour created naturally in the formation of cultures around the world. These practices come from the need to connect to the world, others, and the self. Cultural practices and interpretations may take varied forms and shapes to meet their purpose. They come out of a need, then they become a need.
In this changing world, we are constantly bouncing back and forth between our cultural roots and a striving for progress. The need for traditional objects or practices might have changed or vanished, yet they continue to exist to remind us of who we are.
