The results are in for the contest to create a logo for Manege’s special teen project. We want to thank all the participants for their amazing work – everyone who sent in an application, and especially those who were selected as finalists!
The team at Manege selected 10 teens based on the portfolio they provided. Contest participants were treated to a lecture by Mitya Kharshak on graphic archaeology . Mitya is a docent and academic director of the Design Programme at the Higher School of Economics National Research University, and the curator of the Thirty-Three Characters project. The sketches for the logos were developed based on his method of alphabet creation.
Jury members included Polina Bondareva, Yuriy Gordon, Pokras Lampas, Andrey Lyublinsky, Pavel Prigara, Andrey Punin, and Mitya Kharshak.
Contest winners:
1st place — Viktoria Avetisova, who will receive Yury Gordon’s book From A to Ya, autographed by all jury members, from the Podpisnye Izdaniya bookshop, as well as a set of souvenirs (sweatshirt, tee shirt, and tote bag) from Yamayka printers. Viktoria’s logo will be used in our future educational projects.
2nd place — Taisia Grib
3rd place – Sofia Grib and Gleb Yershov
All of our winners will receive special prizes from Masters School / — enrolment in any one course for 1st place, a certificate for 5 free lectures for 2nd place, and a certificate for 3 free lectures for 3rd place.
The 1st place winner will work to improve the logo based on suggestions from the jury members.
