Originally from Ukraine, Klone moved to Israel as a child. It was an event which was to have a major impact on his work. Now, the artist will give a talk at Manege on how the change of country and culture affected his perception of reality and helped define a means of visual communication with the world. The talk will cover the phenomenon of human memory: how, as time goes by, various visual impressions emerge in the most unexpected contexts, creating new stories and perspectives on reality.
Admission is free by advance registration. The event will be held in Russian.
The talk will be followed by the opening of the artist’s installation Can You See Me? on the square by Manege’s western facade. Guests will get a first glimpse of the installation and have the chance to enjoy a mulled wine with the artist.
