On September 8, the anniversary of the start of the Siege of Leningrad, Manege will take part in the Day of Remembrance citywide initiative. The event was proposed by historian Lev Lurie, and it is the third time it has been held in Saint Petersburg.
Residents of Saint Petersburg will read the names of those who perished in the Siege. The readings will take place at various public sites all around the city, including museums, libraries, schools, and universities.
Everyone is invited to attend. Anyone who wishes can participate, reading the names of their own loved ones and relatives who died during the siege, or reading some of the names from the list.
The event will take place on the square by Manege’s rear façade on September 8, from 12:00 to 13:00.
