On Tuesday, 13 August, Manege will host a lecture as part of the programme accompanying the AES+F. Predictions and Revelations exhibition. Entitled The Brave New World of AES+F, the event will be led by art expert Olesya Turkina, and has been organised in cooperation with Masters School.
How does utopia look in an era of glamour, how is this “brave new world” presented to us as a digital construct, and what shapes the critical approach taken by artists to modernity? These questions will all be tackled by Olesya Turkina, senior academic at the Russian Museum’s department of contemporary art, who in 2007 curated an AES+F retrospective at the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg.
Admission to the event is free. Advance registration is required.
Prior to the lecture, visitors are recommended to view the AES+F. Predictions and Revelations exhibition, which has been organised by Manege in cooperation with the Triumph Gallery and in partnership with MTS.
