On 8 September 2018, Manege will participate in the city action to pay respect to those who died during the Siege of Leningrad. This is the first time this event will be held in St. Petersburg. This event is the initiative of Lev Lurie and the “8 September Committee”.
Names will be read across St. Petersburg in venues such as museums, libraries, and other institutions. Participants include Manege Central Exhibition Hall, the Anna Akhmatova Museum, Dom radio, the Hermitage Museum, the State Russian Museum, the Russian National Library, ROSPHOTO, Dom journalista, the Dostoevsky Museum, the Mayakovsky Central City Library, the Saint Petersburg State University Academic Gymnasium, and others.
Names of victims of the Siege of Leningrad will be read near the main entrance of Manege from 12:00 to 18:00.
