Anatoly Osmolovsky (born in 1969) is one of the key Russian artists in the former Soviet Union. He is the founder of Moscow actionism, art historian, curator and rector of Baza Institute of Contemporary Art. In1990-1992 he was the leader of EAT (Art Territory Expropriation) movement. In 20002 he established Radek society. In 2007 Anatoly Osmolovsky was awarded with the Kandinsky Prize as the Artist of the Year. His works are constantly included in prestigious exhibitions, curatorial projects and biennale. Large museums and private collections all over the world have acquired works by Anatoly Osmolovsky. In his public talk, Anatoly Osmolovsky will share his introspection of a painting’s medium verging into introspection of objects and sculpture. He will also tell about his most recent curatorial projects, including Expansion Art (2014), Eternally Living Dead (2015), Making a Medium (2015), …Hooray! Sculpture! (2015-2016), Raw/Boiled (2016).
