Return poetry to the streets! On the evening of 25 August, as a part of the exhibition “Wall Elements”, the poetry group “Volnost’” will give a performance at the west wall of the St. Petersburg Manege entitled “Poetry on the Walls”.

Participants include Marina Katsuba, the champion of the most recent “Bitvy poetov” and the first female winner of popular rap battle “Versus”; Roma Gonza and Aleksandr Troitskii, founders of “Volnost’”; pioneer of gastronomic realism Pyotr Bersh; and avant-garde poet and director Pavel Kruzenshtern.

The poets will perform their poetry to the melodies of neoclassical, ambient, abstract hip-hop, as well as unaccompanied. During the performance, each of the performers will post their quatrain on one of the concrete walls painted by artists participating in the exhibition “Wall Elements”.
