January 19, 2018 Manege hosted the premiere of the Open Orchestra project. The performance of Tavrichesky symphony orchestra and Polina Osetinskaya was organized for visually impaired visitors as well as for guests with various disabilities. Audience members were given a unique opportunity to cross over from passive contemplation to active participation being literally within the orchestra. Immersion into music took place with minimal lighting at a minimal distance from the musicians.

The last piece became a theme song to the launch of the entire project.
Before the show the audience members got a chance to meet the musicians and had supervised attempts to play the musical instruments.
The concert was held on the threshold of TOUCH, the inclusive exhibition project launching in mid March, 2018. The exhibition is a joined effort of Manege St.Petersburg, Manege Moscow and Vadim Sidur Museum, Moscow. The exhibition will have accessible elements for people with disabilities and will be available for tactile exploration.
