Renowned photographer Gueorgui Pinkhassov will be joining us for a special online discussion on 14 July. Pinkhassov has been a member of Magnum Photos since 1988, and is one of the featured photographers at Manege’s latest exhibition As They See Us. A Portrait of Russia by the Magnum Agency.
Pinkhassov will talk about his journey with Magnum, about the photos which didn’t make it to the exhibition, and about how visual language and the tools of the trade have changed over the decades. The event will be moderated by Alexandra Generalova, Culture Editor at Sobaka.ru.
The discussion – which will be held as a Zoom conference – is free to join. Advance registration is required, and you will need to have downloaded the Zoom app. An hour before the event is scheduled to begin you will be sent a link to the email address provided during registration, which will allow you to join the conference.
The event forms part of Manege’s complementary programme, and is being held in cooperation with Sobaka.ru with support from the Institut Français de Russie .
Ingosstrakh is the exhibition’s general partner.
