On 29 September at 17:00, as a part of the educational programme for the project “To Be Eternally Preserved”, Manege will host a lecture with Elena Evgrafova, the manager of sociocultural development of gardens and green spaces of the State Russian Museum. The lecture is entitled “The dialectic of historical gardens, or a story about combining Russia’s Imperial gardens with ‘Avantgardens’”. Elena will talk about the ambivalent relationship with sociocultural practices conducted in historical gardens, one concrete example being the gardens and parks art festival “Imperial Gardens of Russia”. The festival has taken place in the Mikhailovsky Garden of the State Russian Museum since 2008.
