On 23 March, Manege and the charity foundation “Out Fund SPB (Vyhod v Peterburge)” will show Lyubov Arkus’ documentary “Anton tut ryadom” as a part of Manege’s current project, “Touch”.
“Anton tut ryadom” is a documentary about a young man with autism. Anton lives between a crumbling apartment on the outskirts of Saint Petersburg and a psychiatric hospital. The film captures the unsure moments leading up to the day Anton must become a patient at a psychoneurological institution--a place where those with Anton’s diagnosis don’t live long. Before long, the director herself enters the film and becomes a character in this story. However, this story is not about how one person helped another, but about how one person found themselves in another.
The film will be presented by Zoya Popova, the executive director of the “Anton tut ryadom” center.
Entry is free with prior registration.
