The intermuseum artistic exhibition “Life After Life” shows how Petersburg artists of the XVIII-XXI centuries explore the themes of death and immortality through visual art. The exhibition has its own signature aroma––Florential by Comme des Garçons.
Creators of the exhibition “Life After Life” collected work from 130 different artists that worked in Petersburg in different centuries throughout history, from 23 different museums and 30 private collections. At the breakfast, we discussed the creation of the project concept, its development and content, and the choice of aroma and musical accompaniment.
Among the speakers at the breakfast were artistic director Vitaly Pushnitsky, curator Elizaveta Pavlycheva (Manege), concept author Pavel Prigara (Manege) and also Yulia Filippova (Comme des Garçons).
“Breakfasts at Manege” are a series of professional meetings created for the communication and exchange of experiences within the artistic and cultural sphere, intended for art critics, journalists, bloggers, representatives of cultural institutes, and Friends of Manege members. The curator of the programme is Anna Kirikova.
Breakfast was provided by Garçon café.
Special thanks to Friends of Manege for their support of the “Breakfast at Manege” programme.
