This time Peter Avery was our speaker at the Breakfast. Peter Avery is the Director of Theater for New York Department of Education. He’s been involved in theatre education for over 25 years. Peter has a standing in the community and keeps creating large projects for students and teachers in collaboration with Broadway theaters and other organizations. His initiatives include Shubert Foundation High School Theater Festival in NYC, Digital Theater Project and ‘Write Here, Write Now’ together with Royal Shakespeare Company.

Peter Avery has shared his unique methods and surprising discoveries. He explained how he managed to persuade Broadway companies, non-profit teams and society to invest into educational programs that received acclaim in New York. This meeting was truly interesting for both theatre and theatre school professionals and for other people involved in arts in St. Petersburg.
