On 22 August at 14:30 and 24 August 17:00, art researcher and culturologist Maria Kharitonova will lead an art-mediation of the exhibition “Wall Elements”. The mediation will differ from a more conventional tour in that the visitors will also have an active role in discussing what they see. Be prepared to respond to dialogues, questions, and tasks from the mediator, and be ready to share your personal opinions.
“Wall Elements” is the first large-scale exploration of Russian street art, from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovska-Kamchatsky, an attempt to capture the unique works of the most well-known street artists, created in both illegal and “permitted” spaces, and get a glimpse of their approaches to and methods for working on the street. The concept of the project is above all an exploration of city environments and street culture in each individual Russian city.
Entry to the tours is granted with a ticket to the exhibition. Prior registration is required.
