On Saturday, 7 September, Manege will host a creative workshop for children aged 7–12. The first part of the session will focus on solving codes, symbols and secret messages. The children will learn about the secrets and symbols hidden in family crests, and why a coat of arms could often dictate fate itself in the middle ages. The children will then have the chance to create their own personal coats of arms in the second part, using a modern collage by the AES+F art collective as an example.
The workshop will be led by Anna Pautova, a theatre set designer and student at the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design.
It will begin at 12:00, and last for 1.5 hours. Tickets can be purchased from the Manege ticket office for RUB 400, which includes entrance to the AES+F. Predictions and Revelations exhibition for one adult. Advance registration is required. The number of spaces is limited.
