Manege Central Exhibition Hall will be welcoming young visitors for the latest in its series of children’s breakfasts, held in cooperation with the Stars for Children Foundation. The event, which will explore the phenomenon of collage, is entitled Bouts-Rimés, or This Ain’t no Puzzle, This Is Collage.
Manege is currently hosting an exhibition dedicated to the AES+F art collective, which frequently employs collage techniques in its work, occasionally making what appear to be impossible combinations. This children’s breakfast will look at why artists construct work by drawing from incredibly diverse themes, images and materials. We’ll also find out how this technique works in various forms of art, from painting and sculpture to photography.
The meeting will be led by graphic designer and photographer Vladimir Korolkov, who will already be familiar to young visitors for his discussions on modern art. It will begin at 12:00 and last for an hour and a half. The event is recommended for children aged nine and over.
After the discussion, the children will have the chance to enjoy a game and view the AES+F exhibition. And as always, the event will end with a delicious breakfast.
